Breitling Co-Pilot Watch

Breitling watches began with an obsession with aviation, that’s why aviation industry professionals all wear Breitling watches. That’s also why receiving a Breitling watch in the aviation industry is not only pledging your passion, but marks a time in your life where you dreams have come true. One watch that embodies those ideals is the Breitling Co-Pilot watch by providing aviation professionals and Breitling watch enthusiast an electronical watch that seamlessly juggles local time and flight times in one easy motion. The Breitling Co-Pilot is able to do this because it is designed with four separate display modes in order to allow pilots and professionals the option of switching easily between important timing statistics; the four modes on the Breitling watch include local time, chronograph, take-off time, and landing time.

When looking at the technical specifications of the Breitling co-pilot, it’s no wonder that the timing technology is possible.  The Breitling Co-Pilot watch has a Breitling 80 caliber and a Quartz electronic movement with a min. and sec (59min.59sec, then hrs/min., max) chronograph.  The Breitling watch case, depending on the wearer’s preference, comes in steel or titanium with a screwed in back allowing the Breitling Co-Pilot to sustain 100 m under water.

At 22 by 27.10 mm in diameter, the Breitling Co-Pilot also has sapphire glareproofed crystal on both sides to increase readability while flying on a clear and sunny day.

Breitling Titanium Bracelets

breitling professional aerospace titanium watch
Want a durable Breitling watch? How about a Breitling Professional Aerospace made out of Titanium? The first thing most people think of when they hear the word “Titanium” is a superhero, usually the “man of steel” himself, Superman. But before we get visions of flying around the globe fighting crime with our Titanium Breitling watch check out a few facts about Titanium and how awesome it was for Breitling to include it as an option:

Titanium…

is a chemical element with a symbol of Ti and an atomic number of 22
is light, tough, radiant, corrosion resistant, a transition metal, and silver
can be alloyed with iron, vanadium, aluminum, and many other elements
when alloyed it is used for missiles, jet engines, chemical plants, cars, prostheses, implants, sporting goods, jewelry, mobile phone, and much more
unalloyed is just as strong as other steels but 45% lighter

Titanium

But Titanium, although one of the coolest features of the Breitling Professional Aerospace watch, it’s not the only feature. This Breitling watch comes with a Breitling 79, SuperQuartz(TM) movement, EOL indicator, 1/100th second chronograph, a digital display with day and date programmed for up to 4 years, 330 feet of water resistance, unidirectional and ratcheted crown, and sapphire glareproofed crystal on both sides… just to name a few.

Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant Legende

The Breitling Navitimer is known for its rich history, everlasting style, notorious durability, and industry wide trust. All of these attributes are multiplied with Breitling’s Largest Navitimer in history, The Montbrillant Legende.

At 47 mm in diameter, this monster Breitling Navitimer watch is the largest model in the collection while being dedicated to aviation, shown through the flowing lines and spatial elegance of its design.

The Montbrilliant Legende brings all the style and grace of the Navitimer collection to a collision with spectacular technical specifications including a Breitling 23 caliber, self winding and mechanical movement, 42 hour power reserve, an exceptional Breitling chronograph (1/4th second, 30 minutes), 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a dial aperture calendar.

Additional technical specifications include 3 bars of water resistance, a bidirectional and slide rule bezel, screwed in caseback, and cambered sapphire and glareproofed crystal on both sides.

Breitling For Bentley Flying B Diamond Watches

Today I ran across two beautiful Breitling for Bentley Flying B diamond watches. The Breitling for Bentley’s Flying B watch is dedicated to the “winged B”, the mascot for British cars. All watches in the collection have a rectangular case and sophisticated design with an original display mode. Luxury is the main component of these two Breitling watches as the hour markers are sculpted from mother of pearl.

These two watches have been crafted in a red gold and white gold series with the best materials the watch industry has to offer. Both of these Breitling For Bentley Flying B watches have beveled sapphire crystal glareproofed sides and a chronometer certified by the COSC. The casebacks each have the legendary Bentley “Flying B” engraved on them. Each is water resistance of up to 100 meters with a screw-locked crown, 27 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a Breitling Calibre 28B with jumping-hour mechanism.

Breitling Space Going Navitimer Watch

To infinity and beyond! At least that was the idea behind the Navitimer Cosmonaute, Breitling’s official space-going Navitimer. The Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute (get it, like astronaut) was created in the days of early space exploration, those days when going to space and getting there first were the only things that mattered.

So what is the difference between a Breitling Navitimer watch and a Breitling Cosmonaute watch? First the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute has a Flyback mechanism which allows continuous timing with no need to stop; it starts over all by itself. The Breitling Cosmonaute has 24 hour dial division since night and day mean nothing out in space; that way an astronaut won’t be confused between noon and midnight. Speaking of astronaut, the first person to test this new timepiece in real life situations was Astronaut Scott Carpenter. He bought the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute into space during this flight on the Aurora 7 space capsule on May 24th, 1962.

Today, the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute technical specs are pretty impressive and include:

Breitling 22 caliber
self-winding mechanical movement
42 hour power reserve
1/5th second, 30min, 12 hour chronograph with flyback function
28,800 vibrations per hour
38 jewels, dial aperture calendar
3 bar water resistance, bidirectional bezel
non screw-locked crown with two gaskets
screwed in caseback
cambered sapphire crystal with glareproofed sides
41.50 mm diameter

There are six versions of the Breitling watch. My favorite Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute has steel and 18k gold case with silver dial, golden subdials, leather strap, and tang-type buckle, what’s yours?

The Breitling Airwolf Watch

The Breitling Airwolf watch was made for professional pilots in mind.  Why? Maybe the 1/100th of a second chronograph with split times, maybe the beautifully engineered alarm and countdown feature, the 2nd timezone and UTC calender? All of these are good reasons as to why the Breitling Airwolf is a professional pilot’s watch. However, the real reason is Breitling’s history with providing aviation professionals with quality timepieces.

The Breitling Airwolf has a stunning backlighting system which allows night-time read-off along with ergonomic curving chronograph push pieces and water resistance of up to 5 bars.  The movement of the Breitling Airwolf is astounding including SuperQuartz, thermocompensated quartz electronic, 12/24 hr LCD digital display, and an EOL indicator.  At 1/100th of a second, max. 99 days, 23 hrs 59 min, 59.99 sec, this Breitling chronograph is worthy of the best pilots wrist.  A bidirectional bezel with pinoin mechanism and a non screw-locked crown with two gaskets and integrated push piece accent with this Breitling watch.

A must for any aviation professional that travels around the globe.

Trendy Breitling Watches for Men and Women

I love Breitling watches for their beauty, their uniqueness, and of course the style. Regardless of the rumors that Breitling watches are sophisticated pilot watches, they do have some pretty trendy models also.

Breitling’s Superocean Heritage 30 is one of those watches. It has a self-winding mechanical movement with at Breitling 37 caliber. The power reserve on this Breitling watch lasts up to 42 hours complete with 28,800 vibrations per hour. The Superocean Heritage by Breitling has 27 jewels, dial aperture calendar, steel case, unidirectional bezel, screw-locked crown, screwed in caseback, and is water resistance for up to 600 feet. Both sides are cambered sapphire and glareproof for a protected and glossy finish. My favorite is the blue and white version.

The Cockpit Lady watch by Breitling is another traditional watch but if you get it in the brown and steel with diamonds it’s an instant trendy hit with the same Breitling quality including at Breitling 71 caliber, SuperQuartz movement (termocompensated quartz electronic, EOL indicator), dial aperture calendar, and water resistance of up to 100 m. This Breitling watch also comes with a non screw-locked crown with three gaskets, screwed in back, unidirectional bezel, and sapphire as well as glareproofed on both sides.

Breitling Cosmonaute Men’s Automatic Watch

When Breitling took on the aviation industry by providing watches that could help pilots navigate the skies; no one ever suspected that Breitling watches would make a journey that billions of people on the earth would never make, the journey to the moon.

The Breitling Cosmonaute Men’s automatic watch, like the one below with a black dial and stainless steel case, did just that.

This Breitling watch has a screwed down crown, bidirectional rotating bezel, tachometer scale, black dial, silver chronograph sub dial functions, luminous hand indicators and hour markers, scratch resistant crystal, automatic movement, 41 mm case width, date calendar between the four and five o’clock markers, double locking foldover clasp, and 30 meters of water resistance.
